It's a good product and I would recommend it.
The packaging from amazon was WAY overdone, the box was huge (probably 5 times too big) and the amount of plastic bubble wrap was huge as a result (aprox 102 feet long!).
Original Review -- January 2020 -- I just got this and used it for about 3 cuts. There is definitely a lot of plastic that you need to be gentle with; but for the money this is a good tool. The cuts were accurate to width once I calibrated the hairline that shows the cut width on the ruler. The tracking was precise enough that I could stop the saw mid cut in order to put a clamp on the back end of my cut before proceeding. Stopping and restarting the cut did not make any blade marks.
This definitely beats messing around with a straight edge and clamps. I used to break up sheets (like plywood). It fit my Dewalt worm-drive saw pretty good. The set screws that clamp the jig to your saw are a pretty clever way to make the jig fit many different saws. At first, I didn't think my saw would fit the jig but eventually figured it out.
I would have given it 5 stars, but the overall build quality (lots of plastic) kind of bugs me. But as I said. It's a good and tool considering the price.

Make sure it’s pushed flush against the wood all the way
The assembly process is detailed in the instructions and those are OK but have few confusing sentences. Took some time to figure out.
Next, attachment to the saw plate with 2 screws against a flat, like curtain rod brackets? You must be kidding me. And if you overtorque it, you will break it. But if undertorque, or even torque right, then the attachment is neither reliable nor precise. Needs a bit more thinking.
You need to be mindful where the blade cut goes, and account for the blade thickness in your measurements. This tool can be set in 2 different ways depending on the cut location (or your hand preference) and the difference isn't explained wrt blade thickness accounting so easy to make measuring mistake on the first cuts if you have to flip the side for whatever reason (gotta add/subtract the blade thickness to get your exact measure after cut).
Next, due to not quite exact attachment to the saw plate, your zero setting won't be exact either. Look out for it and double check with ruler. We've found it's off approx 1/8 with the ruler no matter how hard we tried to set the zero line precisely. And because the metal guide ruler doesn't slide easily in the plastic sledge clamp, you have good chances to mess up your zero setting while moving the guide because all it relies on is... a plastic clamp. Thick and sturdy but it's plastic so be realistic about it.
It's also not good for short cuts but that's to be expected given the length of the giude... if the length of your cut is shorter than the length of the plastic guide, you'll get a wavy edge, guaranteed. Simply not enough contact to keep it straight.
They don't recommend cuts below 1in wide and mark the ruler as such, reasoning that the saw guard would interfere with the sledge on most saws. That's true but what's the problem of keeping the guard open at the back? Just be mindful where your guard is. We did a .75in wide cut no problem.
Large table that supports both pieces of the rip, good vices are recommended. We have only small table so the guide and the ruler would eventually run into the vices and we had to reclamp the material mid way. We're limited in space, it has nothing to do with the tool. It's just without good support you won't have fully straight cut. Don't blame the tool for that!
Overall it's a good fixer for those who don't have money/space for a table saw. It allows overall straight, plus-minus exact cuts that don't take forever. More than enough for a DIY home renovators I think (we were cutting stairs risers and managed to complete the task within reasonable time and with acceptable result).
If you don't have unrealistic expectations, you won't regret buying it.
Minus one star for plastic in not quite appropriate locations, few more metal parts to improve attachment and zero setting/maintaining precision and it would be a fantastic tool.
